REQUEST: INFORMATION ON DOGS SENT TO NEW BRUNSWICK, CANADA
Missing Dog Network is seeking information on dogs that were transported to Kelly Gaunce, a self-proclaimed “trainer” in New Brunswick, Canada that recently had an alert sent out on her, advising humane organizations and animal rescuers against placing dogs with Ms Gaunce.
There are smaller animal groups and independent rescuers throughout the United States, especially in rural areas, which have transported dogs to Ms Gaunce. These smaller groups and independent rescuers may still be unaware of the possible danger their dogs might have been placed in and may still assume that their dogs are safe. Therefore, cross posting this request to all smaller shelters and independent rescuers, and bringing this alert to their attention, is needed in order for these individuals and groups to follow-up on the safety of the dogs they placed with Ms Gaunce.
Missing Dog Network is a small, grassroots network, with no affiliation to any other humane organizations, which is trying to help follow-up on the whereabouts of the currently unknown homeless dogs sent to New Brunswick, Canada through information gathering. All relevant information is passed on to the appropriate entities that can follow-up in a suitable manner. If you or someone you know sent a dog to Ms Gaunce or if you know of a smaller group that placed dogs with Ms Gaunce that does not have the ability to follow-up on their animals, please contact the Missing Dog Network.

This is a serious effort to help vulnerable dogs that might be in danger at this time, so please do not contact Missing Dog Network in any manner other than one intended to help the dogs whose whereabouts are unknown at this time.
If you have no information related to this situation, you can still help the animals by educating your local shelters and animal rescuers about the importance of doing background checks on all individuals interested in taking their animals. Checking references, performing home visits, and conducting background checks is the best way of ensuring that homeless and abused animals are not victimized by people trying to obtain animals for financial gain or illegal activity.
During this information gathering effort, all requests for confidentiality and privacy will be honored completely.
